Downloads, collaborative folders and editable Online Composers

· Build 2.18.2

Amplify now works better as a team space. Download videos and JSON, collaborate in shared folders, copy comments into Composers and keep editing clips once they are in an Online Composer.

✨ New Features

🔹 Download Video & JSON Options

A new “Download” option is now available in the 3-dot Actions menu in the Files list and within the video player. Users can:

  • Download Single Videos: Choose one or multiple angles from a list.
  • Download JSON: Download the timeline JSON file (not available for Composers).
  • Download All Videos: Downloads all available angles.
  • Download AVault (work in progress): Downloads a zipped package, including the video, which can be imported into Angles directly.

🔹 Comments Copied to Composers

When sending clips to a new or existing Online Composer, any comments associated with the clip will now carry over.

🔹 Collaborative Folders

A new section in the File Management sidebar allows users to create collaborative folders and assign other Analysts or OAs as collaborators.

Content can also be shared in the usual way and will appear in other users’ Shared with Me folder.

🔹 Comment Options Menu

A 3-dot menu has been added next to comments, allowing users to edit or delete their own comments and replies.

🔹 Parent-Child Organisation Folder Sharing

  • Parent orgs can now share collaborative folders with child orgs.
  • Shared folders appear in the Collaborative Folders section of the child org.
  • Child orgs cannot view content added by other child orgs.

🔹 Clip Editing via Right-Click

Clips can now be edited (length and colour) by right-clicking directly on them in the timeline.

🔹 Keyboard Shortcut for Send to Composer

Shift + Command + V opens the Send to Composer menu.

🔹 Editable Clips in Online Composers

Users can extend clips (start/end time) once they’ve been sent to an Online Composer, using the original timeline as a reference.

🔹 Topic Right-Click Options in Composer

Users can now rename or delete entire topics in a composer by right-clicking the topic name.

🔹 Timeline Zoom Button Hold

Holding the zoom in/out button results in a continuous zoom action, rather than needing repeated taps.

🔧 Improvements

  • Support for sending clips between Online Composers.
  • Undoing clip creation is a seperate action to undoing row creation.
  • Selecting a row no longer moves the playhead to start of row unless double-clicked or tab is pressed.
  • Clicking empty space in the timeline no longer closes the Create Clip modal.
  • Amplify Composers renamed to Online Composers.
  • Improved Delete Confirmation UI modals.
  • Timelines now auto-zoom to fit content and cannot zoom out beyond boundaries.
  • Long-press enables inline text editing of row names in timelines.
  • Creating new rows or Online Composers now autofocuses the text box and allows Enter/Return to submit.
  • “Add Clip” button is now greyed out when no rows exist in the timeline.
  • Optimised icon loading in right-click menus (timeline & composer).
  • Backend optimisations for faster DB performance and reduced memory leakage.
  • Topic name now shows in Clip Details overlay even with there are no qualifiers or notes in the clip.
  • Composers and timelines can no longer zoom or scroll beyond the boundaries of the longest clip.
  • Notes in clips now appear beneath the topic/row name in Clip Details.
  • Timeline zooming now centers around the playhead, not the start.
  • Upload error handling improved with better prompts (e.g. >4 angles or too many movie parts in a vault).
