đ Composer Table Preview đ
Download build 1365Pre-release
A pre-release: newer than the current release, build 1315, and still settling in. Most people should use the current release.
A new Table view for the Composer. Switch between the Clip view and the Table view to see your clips, topics, notes and qualifiers laid out as a table.
- Topic names and row names can be edited directly in the table. When editing a name or note, press Return or Tab to move to the cell below, and Escape to exit editing.
- Double click a topic name to start playback. When a note is being edited and a linked collection is playing, the clip for that row plays in a loop.
- Clip start and end times can be adjusted by holding down Shift and dragging left or right in the time, or by holding down Shift and Control and scrolling while the pointer is over the time.
- Sort menus added to columns: âA - Zâ and âZ - Aâ for Note columns; âStart Times Ascendingâ, âDuration Ascendingâ and âDuration Descendingâ for clip time columns; âFrequency Ascendingâ and âFrequency Descendingâ for qualifier columns.
- A âKeep Topics Togetherâ option (on by default) under the âViewâ button keeps rows grouped by topic after sorting or dragging rows.
- Table column widths and positions are remembered, and âSet Default Column Widthsâ sizes each column to fit its longest qualifier name.
Amplify Archives
New âCreate Amplify Archiveâ menus have been added under the Timeline and Composer export buttons, alongside the existing standalone archives. The same export dialog is used for all four archives, but the settings for each archive are independent. A menu to cancel archiving has been added to the export buttons.
An âAmplify Compatibilityâ option has been added to âCreate Standalone Composer Archiveâ. When movies are imported using transcode options, movies without an audio track are given a silent audio track matching the video duration.
Composer Updates
- Hold down Command + Control, then click and drag to move a clip â or a selection of multiple clips â without affecting the clip cursor or clip selection. Clips can even be moved while the composer is playing.
- Images inserted within clips can be annotated for each angle by right clicking the angle and choosing âAnnotateâ. Annotated images are exported in standalone movies and standalone composer archives.
- The duration of an inserted image in a selected clip can be adjusted by holding down Shift and dragging from its right side. Transitions between playback of inserted images and video have been improved.
- New âShow Notes On Clipâ menu under the âClipâ button shows the top note on each clip.
- Added an inspector option to set the topic background colour, and a âClip Details Stylesâ menu to set the custom background colour of overlays.
- Updated playback to reduce situations where the Composer would jump to the next clip, and when a clip is copied or moved the clip cursor stays at or near its original position.
- Clicking a composer topic header selects the topic as well as filtering in its clips.
Synergy Import Updates
- Synergy edit import preview added.
- New âAutoâ transcoding option: Angles scans the downloaded clip movies and estimates the best width, height and frames per second for the final movie, with the data rate set to 4 Mbit/s and the codec set to H264.
- âNotesâ and âText Overlayâ fields are now imported.
- All clips in a Synergy edit are now downloaded â previously downloads were capped at 50 clips.
- Stopped duplicate team clips being created, improved concurrent importing of Synergy folders, and fixed the clip offset for âCreate an individual timeline and collection for each editâ.
Telestration Updates
- Imported rendered clips retain zoomed and flicked in information, and angle names.
- Visual telestration indicators added to composer clips, and a new âShow/Hide Telestrated Clipsâ menu item under âViewâ in the main menu bar.
- Fixed a problem where some clips for telestration could not be exported when large or flicked in angles had been deleted from the collection.
General Updates
- Added a âBring Qualifiers Inside Clips When Markingâ menu item under the âClipsâ menu. When on, âMark Inâ or âMark Outâ trims the clip and brings all qualifiers inside the clip bounds.
- 32 by 9 video support.
- When an exported timeline file is dragged onto Angles, imported clips with the same ID as an existing clip update the existing clipâs start and end times, and overlapping clips are merged.
- Updated dialogs for the âLight Appearanceâ system setting, and fixed the âVisualsâ menu in the main window toolbar not opening.
- Double clicking the zoom in and out buttons doubles or halves the zoom. Hold down the Command key while clicking to zoom without doubling or halving.
- The ESC key no longer sets timer buttons to up, and swiping in the collection no longer requires the mouse pointer to be over an angle.
