Piston 2 arrives on the App Store and macOS

Piston 2 is a major release, and it is also the first version of Piston for the Mac. Update your iOS devices to iOS 13.5 or later so the keyboard shortcuts work.

⭐️ New

  • 💻 Piston for macOS. Now available in the Mac App Store, with great performance.
  • 📥 Localising on device. Download your session footage onto the device.
  • ⌨️ Keyboard controls. Play/Pause with Space or Up Arrow, rewind and fast forward with Left and Right Arrow, Full Screen with Command F, toggle sidebars with [ and ], add a Note with N, Loop with Down Arrow, next and previous Marker with Tab and Shift Tab, Jump to Live with J, and switch angle with 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • 🔗 New server connection screen and a new Settings UI in the session menu.
  • 👆 Tap indicator animation over the video.
  • 🟠 Jump to partial local session. A new orange button next to the Localise button takes you straight to the partially localised session.
  • 🟢 Jump to the finalised session. A green button appears when finalising finishes and jumps straight to the finalised local session.

💡 Tip

Set Auto-Lock to Never in Settings > Display & Brightness while you use Piston.
