Notification management, custom share messages and clearer permissions

Stay in control of who sees and changes what. Delete notifications, add a personal message when you share, and rely on stricter rules for who can edit clips.

New Features ⭐️

  • Notification Management: Users can now delete individual notifications and replies by hovering over them in the Notification Centre and clicking the trash can icon.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Most confirmation modals now support Return to confirm and navigate forward, and Delete/Backspace to navigate backward (when no text field is selected).
  • Custom Messages in Sharing: Added a message field to the Sharing Modal when ‘Notify Teammates’ is checked. This message appears in both email and in-app notifications.
  • Improved Clip Comments Navigation: When no clips are selected, opening clip comments displays all clips in the timeline that have comments. Clicking the purple clip header selects and jumps to the clip.

Improvements 🔨

  • User Cleanup: Users with no organisation membership after deletion of an organisation are also removed, preventing orphaned accounts.
  • Undo Enhancements: Undoing deleted clips or topics now restores all associated comments, replies, qualifiers, and notes.
  • Rename Undo Support: Renaming rows/topics is now included in the Undo stack.
  • Advanced Row Selection: Hold Shift and click two rows to select all clips between them.
  • Permissions Enforcement: Users with less than ‘Edit’ permission can no longer edit, delete, or create clips, or rename/move topics. Full editing is restricted to those with ‘Edit & Re-share’ access.
  • Default to Clip Comments: The default comment view is now Clip Comments instead of Timeline Comments when opening a timeline.
  • Clarified Comment Labels: Renamed “All Comments” to “Selected Clip Comments” for clarity.
  • Improved Clip Comment Interaction:
  • First click on the purple clip header: selects the clip and moves the playhead.
  • Second click (with no other clips selected): deselects the clip and shows all other clip comments.
  • API Performance: Major backend API optimisations improve loading times for video players, sharing from parent folders, and uploading large timelines.
  • Default Permissions: Sharing permissions now default to Comment & Create.

Bug Fixes 🐞

  • Subgroup permissions now correctly override group permissions.
  • Prevented changing the last Org Admin’s user type to Analyst or Viewer.
  • Fixed backend upload issues caused by large timelines with many clips and qualifiers.
  • Fixed issue where resumable uploads would sometimes restart from 0%.
