Share to everyone, exclude users and a redesigned Composer

Sharing is now far more flexible. Share with everyone in your organisation, exclude specific people or groups, control downloads, and work in a redesigned Composer.

New Features ✨

Share to All Users in Organisation

• New “Share to All Users” option automatically applies permissions to all users.
• Individual or group permissions can still override this setting.

Exclude Users or Groups from Sharing

• Block specific users or groups from accessing shared content—even when “Share to All Users” is enabled.
• Excluded users cannot be added individually and are removed from existing share lists.
• Groups/subgroups marked as excluded prevent access for all members.

Download Permissions Control

• Added a checkbox in the Sharing Modal to control whether users/groups can download shared content.

Composer Redesign & Improvements

• Clips now wrap around topics when zooming in/out.
• Click timestamps within clips to move the playhead.
• Faster rendering for large composers with many clips and topics.
• Zooming out capped at the longest topic length.
• Fixed ability to scroll past composer edge when zoomed out.
• Right-click “Rename” or “Delete” only available on topic name/number.
• Click a topic number to select all clips in it.
• Double-click a topic number to play from the first clip.
• Double-click a clip to play it from the beginning.

Sharing Modal Improvements 🔨

• Refined search bar dropdown UI.
• Consistent alignment of “No Access” and usernames when displayed.
• Share and notify teammates buttons remain visible when scrolling through modal.
• Re-organised workflow for easier navigation.
• Backend changes now reliably reflect updates made in the UI.
• Share modal button label changed from “Share” to “Confirm”.
• File share modals now display excluded users added at the folder level.
• Fixed issue where removing/re-adding a user failed to reapply permissions.
• Fixed issue where typing into group search bar jumped the modal screen upwards.
• Fixed share modal search dropdown not sticking to search bar when scrolling through modal.

Clips & Comments Improvements 🔨

• Shift + Tab: first jump to start of current clip, then to previous clip.
• Timeline row selection no longer auto-centres if already visible, preventing accidental mis-clicks.
• Clip comments text entry disabled until a clip is selected.
• Empty timelines default to video comments view rather than Clip Comments.
• Video comments always display in chronological order.
• Playhead now follows editing handles when trimming or creating clips.
• Disabled right-click on clips while edit/create modal is open.

Other Improvements 🔨

• Share icon in “Shared With Me” replaced with actions dropdown menu (permissions reflected in options).
• Standardised actions dropdown menu positioning across the app.
• Added App Store & Google Play links to registration emails.
• Registration confirmation emails now display the registered server URL.
• Upgraded AWS SDK to v3.0, improving notifications, storage, and transcoding services.

Bug Fixes 🐞

• Fixed issue where users with Edit & Re-share could not update others’ permissions.
• Fixed file sidebar arrow hidden on large screens.
• Fixed transparent/floating actions menu dropdowns in “Shared With Me”.
• Fixed timeline clips not saving when extending end time to the end of the timeline.
• Fixed uploads excluding clips partially outside of the video length.
• Fixed JSON downloads missing extension when filenames were long/irregular.
• Fixed video angle change resetting playhead to 0:00.
