Take your Online Composers with you. Download them as individual clips or as standalone movies per angle, with Download Hours counted clearly, and send clips between Composers.

📥 Download Online Composer

A major new capability for organisations with Download Hours enabled.

What’s included:

  • New Download icon available in Online Composers (when Download Hours are available).
  • Download options:
  • Individual clips (zipped folder).
  • Standalone Movie per Angle (concatenated single video per angle).
  • Standalone Movie per Angle with Padding
  • Ensures equal video length across all angles.
  • Includes an Angles JSON file for direct drag-and-drop import into Angles, preserving clip timestamps, qualifiers and notes.
  • Smart Download Controls:
  • Green download icon indicates content can be downloaded without consuming additional Download Hours.
  • Hovering over the download icon highlights clips available without using more Download Hours.
  • Users can choose to download:
  • All angles
  • Currently playing angle only
  • Download Hours are only counted for unique downloads (re-downloading unchanged generated content does not consume hours).
  • Users receive:
  • A Notification Centre alert
  • A bottom-left pop-up when downloads are ready
  • Download window can be minimised to allow continued work or multiple composer downloads simultaneously.
  • Individual clip downloads include a default-enabled option; “Formatted for Angles Import” — allowing direct drag-and-drop into Angles.
  • If clips are edited after a Standalone Movie is generated, users are warned that existing downloads will be invalidated.
  • File Management sidebar now includes a separate Download Hours progress bar.
  • Users receive warnings about:
  • Hours about to be used
  • Hours being reused
  • Exceeding Download Hour limits (downloads will be blocked if limit exceeded)
  • Admin Controls - Organisation Admins can:
  • Enable/disable the ability for individual users to download their own Online Composers.
  • Apply this control to entire Groups, Subgroups, or User Types.

🔁 Send Clips Between Online Composers

  • Users can now send clips directly from one Online Composer to another Online Composer.

🎬 Timeline & Composer Enhancements

  • Move timeline rows up/down by holding Option + drag on the row name.
  • Frame-by-frame navigation using left/right arrows when video is paused.
  • Hold Shift + Return to create multi-line comments.
  • Total number of clips now displayed in the timeline toolbar (updates dynamically when clips are selected).
  • Natural file sorting added platform-wide (e.g., 1 appears before 10).
  • New “Delete Timeline” option (when no reference timelines exist), allowing a reset to an empty timeline state.
  • Video now automatically pauses when sending to composer.
  • “Add to Composer” and “Create New Composer” buttons hidden where user lacks Create permissions.
  • Multiple selection deletion prompts added (timeline rows, topics, etc.).
  • Right-click delete behaviour refined to avoid unintended deselection.

👥 User & Admin Tools

  • Fulcrum staff can now Activate Remotely unregistered users:
  • Generates a temporary password
  • Activates account
  • Sends email with login details

🎥 Video Processing & Performance

  • Processing presets updated to maintain source frame rate.
  • Frontend optimisations for large timelines with many clips and qualifiers.
  • Notifications added when videos finish processing.
  • Improved playhead dragging in Composer (pinned behaviour, similar to Angles).
  • Improved upload queue handling:
  • “Stop and Delete” only removes draft files (incuding partial uploads)
  • Auto-scroll to newest file when adding many uploads.

📂 File Management & Sorting

  • A–Z / Z–A options added in My Folders.
  • Sorting dropdown added to Shared with Me.
  • Sorting inside folders now inherits parent directory sorting (where applicable).
  • Sorting inside Shared with Me menu now consistent with other sorting menus.
  • Role column removed in Shared with Me.
  • Collaborator icon + tooltip added beside Folder Name Heading.
  • REF tag added for reference files in deleted uploads list.
  • Upload Hours tooltip now shows “Deleted upload hours (current period)”.
  • Movie Collection icon added for videos with no timeline data.
  • File icons shown when Files sidebar is collapsed.

💬 Comments & Notifications

  • Clicking comment notifications:
  • Opens video comments in sidebar (if tagged in video comment).
  • Starts playing immediately from the comment timestamp.
  • Tagging improvements:
  • Warnings added when tagging in comments when content is not shared with others.
  • When shared to all users, tagging displays all users and groups.
  • Swapped “Clear All” and “Mark All as Read” positions.
  • Warning when opening:
  • Deleted shared content via saved bookmark
  • Shared content in a different organisation

🔧 UI & Workflow Consistency

  • “No Users Found” message shown when search returns no matches in Sharing Modal.
  • Standardised three-dot action menu across platform.
  • Greyed out “Notify New Users” when no changes made.
  • “Create Composer” text updated in Create New Composer pop up (previously “Open Composer”).
  • Send to Composer menu files list can now be sorted by clicking on column headings.
  • Added clip count display in Create New Composer confirmation modal.
  • Edit Clip modal now dismisses when clicking another clip.
  • Improved behaviour when shrinking browser window (Files sidebar auto-closes).
  • Folder access list when sharing a single file now shows collaborators.
  • Improved qualifier tooltips (timestamps removed).

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed email redirection for shared Online Composers (now opens composer correctly).
  • Fixed Send to Composer sidebar incorrectly displaying parent folders.
  • Fixed ghost playhead issue when dragging in Composer.
  • Fixed vault size mismatch between desktop Finder and Upload Modal.
  • Fixed fullscreen exit issue when changing angles.
  • Fixed Notification Centre refresh issue when deleting multiple notifications.
  • Fixed permissions issue allowing View-only users to create or send to composers.
  • Fixed tagging bug where removed tags in comments still triggered notifications.
