Comments included in JSON and clip downloads
Your clip comments now travel with your footage. They are included in downloaded timeline JSON and in clip downloads.
⭐️ New Features
📝 Comments Now Included in JSON & Clip Downloads
We’ve expanded how comments are preserved when exporting timelines and composers.
- Downloaded timeline JSON files now include clip comments as Notes.
- Each comment becomes a separate Note, grouped by user.
- Replies are included beneath the original comment with the replier’s name on a new line.
- Commenters and repliers are also added as Qualifiers to clips — making it easy to filter in Angles by user.
- Applies to:
- Uploaded timeline JSON downloads
- Online Composer “Standalone Movie with Padding & JSON” exports
- Individual clip downloads formatted for Angles Import
🎬 Timeline Comments Now Exported
- A new “Video Comments” row is added to downloaded timeline JSON files.
- Each video comment creates a 10-second clip containing:
- The comment as a Note
- A Qualifier identifying the user
- This ensures all video and timeline comments are fully preserved in exports.
🔨 Improvements
- Deleting multiple selected topics now prompts whether to delete all selected topics or just the clicked one.
- Selected topics in a Composer now highlight in purple.
- Selected timeline rows now highlight in purple for clearer visibility.
- Clicking Reply now automatically places the cursor in the reply field for faster responses.
🐞 Bug Fixes
