You will notice a significant performance increase in this build. It turns out our Undo Manager was too greedy and tracking too many objects which resulted in sluggish performance at times. So, we reduced the amount of undo steps in order to improve performance.

Each file type has different steps of undo:

  • Timeline - 10 steps
  • Composer - 10 steps
  • Movie Collection - 100 steps
  • MarkUp - 100 steps

If you think you require more, please let us know. We chose these based on our software usage across many applications which may not suit everyone's use cases.

Sort Topic By Timeline Clip Start Time added to composer for our friends at Leeds United. This option sorts all the clips according to the clip's start time in the origin timeline. An option for sorting all topics at once in this way is available too. To access, right click anywhere in the topic, navigate to Sort and choose the sort option.

Sort Topic By Movie Then By Timeline Clip Start Time added to composer. This option sorts all clips by the movie and then sorts the clips by their start time. An option for sorting all topics at once in this way is available too. When sorting a single topic by movie then clip start time, the movie sort order is determined by the order that the movie first appears in the topic. When sorting all topics by movie then clip start time, the movie order for all topics is determined by the order that movies first appear in the topic clicked to show the menu.

Color all clips from the same movie in the composer. This is very helpful to distinguish between clips from different movies.

To use:

  • Click on a clip and set a clip color in the inspector.
  • Right click on the clip and navigate to Color in the menu.
  • Choose 'Set Clips From Movie To This Color In Topic'.
All the clips from the same movie will appear with that color. There is an option to color clips in all topics too. Great to use in conjunction with sorting topics by clip start time.

Flash clips in the composer added in the Color menu. Right click on a clip, navigate to Color and choose 'Flash Clips From Movie'.

Row duration for selected clips added to the the inspector. Click on the row name in the timeline to show in inspector.

Bug fixes:

  • Case 723 - Timeline saving was not being triggered when only a qualifier was being inserted into a clip using qualifier mode and no other changes were made to clips in the timeline
  • Case 721 - Star rating shortcuts not working when Command F is used
  • Case 718 - All vaults disclosed when application is launched with empty super tab
