Updates / Piston for iOS

Third-party data API, starred markers and filter presets

· Build 9.4

⭐️ New and improved

📡 Third-party API integration

  • A new Third Party API option in the Session drop-down menu, and an API button in the Piston toolbar.
  • Currently supports the NRL API, importing live match data (Sets, Penalties, Scoring Events, Errors, Linebreaks and Scrums) into the timeline.
  • Built to support more third-party APIs in future.

⭐️ Star and highlight Markers and Cuts

  • Swipe left on a marker in the sidebar to favourite it.
  • Tap the star at the top of the right sidebar to show only starred markers, and long press it to clear all stars.
  • If a Cut is linked to a starred marker, the star carries over to the Cuts Archive, Cuts List and any Composer containing the Cut.
  • Tap the star at the top right of a Cut thumbnail to star or unstar it. Changes sync back to the marker.
  • Use the star icon in the Cuts List, Cuts Archive or Add to Composer menu to filter for starred cuts.

🔍 Enhanced filtering

  • Switch between filtering selected items in or out.
  • Choose whether markers must match all selected criteria across all filter types (for example markers and users and qualifiers), or any of them.

💾 Filter presets and quick access

  • Tap + next to Filter Presets to save the current filters, as a Global preset (all sessions) or a Session preset (that session only).
  • Tap a preset and press Done to apply it. Tap it again to update it with new filter settings.
  • Swipe right on a preset to rename it or switch between Global and Session.
  • Long press the filter icon in the right sidebar to apply presets or clear filters quickly.
  • The last used Global filter is applied automatically when you enter a new session.

🐛 Fixes and tweaks

  • Imports folder thumbnails load faster, reducing lag when scrolling long lists.
  • An HTML report export option in the session drop-down menu on mobile.
  • Icons replace text labels in the marker sidebar swipe menus.
  • You can add notes to markers imported from Angles JSON files.
  • The default imports_settings.json flag for Angles Composer exports now disables transcoding when importing into Angles.
  • Single Angle Cuts in a Composer now display correctly when exported as an Angles Composer, Composer Video or Composer Package.
