A redesigned sharing screen and YouTube-style player controls
Sharing and playback both get an overhaul on mobile. A redesigned sharing screen lets you choose download permissions, and the video player now has YouTube-style tap and double-tap controls.
📱 New Features
- Download Permissions Control – Added the ability to choose whether users can download shared content via the Mobile Sharing modal.
- Sharing Modal Redesign – Completely reworked the Sharing UI for a cleaner and more intuitive experience: Users can now edit permission levels directly without needing to delete and re-add users.
- Clip Count in Timeline – Each row in Clip View now displays a clip count.
- New iOS App Icon – Updated to a modern glass-style icon for both light and dark modes.
- Download Icon in Landscape VideoPlayer – Added a dedicated download icon for easier localising of content in landscape mode.
- Video Comment Timestamps – Video comments now display timestamps, matching the web experience.
- Video Comment Preferences – Added a global preference to view either “All Video Comments” or “Progressive Timestamp Comments” (default is “All Video Comments”).
- Enhanced Video Player Controls – Introduced YouTube-style overlay controls for a more natural viewing experience:
- Tap anywhere on screen to show/hide overlay controls
- Double-tap left/right to jump backward/forward
- When paused, jumps move frame-by-frame; when playing, jumps use the user-defined stepping speed (default 5 seconds)
- Single-tap on jump buttons performs the same action as double-tap
🔨 Improvements
- Refined notification text in the Notification Centre to reduce redundant file names and unnecessary wording.
- Sidebar states now persist when rotating between portrait and landscape modes.
- Renamed “Speed” in Global Settings to “Stepping” for consistency.
- Filter icon now turns purple when a filter is applied.
- Filter icon displays the total number of filtered clips.
- Added a loading indicator when submitting a comment in the sidebar.
