Amplify 3 with a refreshed look and live Piston uploads
Welcome to Amplify 3. A refreshed look and feel, a redesigned video player sidebar and live uploads straight from a Piston Server make this the biggest update to Amplify Web yet.
⭐️ New Features
🎨 Major UI Overhaul
- Refreshed the interface with updated Amplify branding, colours and logos
- Modernised the overall look and feel
- Improved consistency with other Fulcrum web products, including Piston Server
- Optimised responsiveness for smaller screens and mobile devices
🎬 Redesigned Video Player Sidebar
- Currently playing Movie Collection is now pinned to the top of the sidebar
- Available video angles are displayed as thumbnails beneath the collection name for quick switching
- Timelines for the current collection are displayed below the angle thumbnails
- Added a dedicated Other Files section showing all other Movie Collections in the folder, including the number of angles and timelines each contains
- Added search within the Other Files section
- Selecting another file instantly switches the video player and updates the pinned collection at the top
⌨️ Live Piston Server Uploads
- Added backend support for live uploads directly from Piston Server (requires Piston Server Build #878 or later)
- Sessions now upload while recording and begin processing immediately once capture is complete
🎥 Delete Video Angles
- Added the ability to right-click a video angle in the video player sidebar and select Delete Angle
- Allows incorrectly uploaded angles to be removed without affecting the rest of the Movie Collection
- Deleting an angle does not restore Upload Hours

📤 Upload Improvements
- Added storage limit warnings when uploading appended videos or Movie Collections created from multiple MP4 files
- Improved browser compatibility:
- Safari now supports drag-and-drop video uploads
- Chrome now supports selecting video files through the upload dialog
- Upload instructions now reflect each browser’s supported upload methods
- Cancelling an additional angle upload now correctly stops the upload and removes any partially uploaded video data
📱 Mobile Experience
- Added an on-screen video control panel for easier playback on mobile devices
📂 Sharing & File Management
- Hovering over Share All Timelines in Movie Collection share modal now displays the names of the timelines already shared from that collection rather than only the total count
- Added a combined Filter & Sort menu within folders that contains filtering options for:
- Upload Status (Uploaded or Draft)
- File Type (Timeline, Online Composer or Subfolder)
🐞 Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where deleting a subfolder removed its contents but left an inaccessible folder behind
- Fixed issue where deleting a folder removed its contents but left an empty folder placeholder in the Admin section
- Fixed issue preventing users from changing their own password in My Profile
- Fixed the Forgot Password function on the login page
